Summer Weddings

Can you guys tell me what you think of this dress?
Roxy Tidal Wave Dress

Do you think that would be absolutely perfect for a summer wedding or what? I seem to be inundated with weddings this year which is absolutely fantabulous but need to stretch my wardrobe to actually include some wedding wear. I went over the top in January to get May wedding attire and now am stuck with three gorgeous skirts but no appropriate top for that occasion. I am thinking a dress for the July wedding will be much simpler.

LOVE IT! I think it would be perfect for a summer wedding!
And the way the strips are positioned is great - the dress looks like it would actually minimize the belly, but flatter the chest!
Where'd you find it?

Hey Stacey, I just put a link to it when you click on it. I saw it at Macy's - it's made by Roxy, a big California coastal brand, they have some cute stuff. I'm all for chest flattering :) - belly minimizing would definently not hurt either :) .

Off that page you linked to, I'd choose the "Iced Tea" dress and get it in Raspberry. I think this one emphasizes hips too much (hips good, pear shape bad)and elongates the bust rather than flatter it. The iced tea will trim the hips and help use an open neck line to accentuate the bust.

I have to stop watching "Queer Eye".

LOL OD. You're hilarious. You went to town on that link didn't you? The iced tea IS purty, but a little too low and too much emphasis on the bust for my liking. The halter one is low but it's a halter so that's kind of expected, and it does have emphasis on the bust but is evenly distributed elsewhere so it's not SO much attention there. Maybe for Beth where that's concerned ;) ? Oh and the hips? There's a reason I pushed for 3 hours with my first and 2 with my second (that's pushing, not labor).

Any way I haven't tried it on yet so I COULD end up totally agreeing with you :/.

With your small frame (blessed be you!) and coloring, the dress will be perfect on you. "Summer fun's" color and cut will also suit you and looks fit for a summer wedding occasion.

I'd agree with Trevor: Love the clean lines (and clever at one, that, too for it emphasizes and minimizes in the right places!).

LMAO at OD's comment! heehee!

I love the dress, it's gorgeous. And you're tiny enough that you can TOTALLY pull it off!

The dress is pretty and colorful! It totally is suitable for a July wedding (but really depends on how formal that wedding is.) If the wedding is quite formal, then you might want to consider a more formal dress. Otherwise, it's great!

Harrods Girl - It's an outdoor wedding at half past five in the evening (still plenty of light). I think I'm safe in assuming most outdoor weddings aren't TOO incredibly formal? The reception is inside but I'm thinking that'll work to dance the night away in as well ;).
