Watching the Royal Wedding Now

Thank goodness the internet and YouTube's replaying of Prince William's and Princess Catherine's wedding is happening so I didn't have to wake up at an ungodly hour. Is it just me, or is Princess Catherine the new Princess Diana? Sorry if that sounds disrespectful to say, it just seems like the world is worshiping her like they did Princess Diana. They ARE an adorable couple

and so far the luxury and the finery, and even the old worldness (yes I totally just made up that phrase) of England is fascinating (SPOILER ALERT for those who missed it),

Love this altar piece in front of them!!

Wouldn't you love to be dressed up like this for a wedding?

Love the beard!

The pure adornment of it makes me want to get married in a cathedral in England!

My favorite view is this angle from above. Stunning.

Love this look to her as she's about to say her vows

Love her smile just before she said her vows.

Did you wake up at an ungodly hour to watch the royal wedding?

so excited to see your entire entry in my reader! usually it's just a teaser.

also, i think kate is super sweet and adorable looking. I only got a glimpse of their kiss when I was getting ready for work. I hear the cake is amazing but am too lazy to google.

Tatum woke us up at like six in the morning... so I turned the tv on (we taped it) and Trav and I watched it this morning. I was glad to fast forward all the commericals, but I found myself fast forwarding during some of the wedding. (Awful I know). I was thinking I would want to be her (as in writing my last post), but I just really don't think I could handle all that pressure, would you be able to handle it? But I will say the wedding was beautiful and Kate looked gorgeous as always! Hope all is well. :) xoxoxo.

Linda - It's been that way forever and I've been meaning to change it. So glad it worked!

Teagan - My favorite part was how they worded the vows and the message after. She looked absolutely elegant! Oh, and I glad you liked the pictures - I added more! Including my favorite view from above. LOVEd the sweeping angles of the cathedral.

Ashley - I watched it with the commercials on fast forward, too. I definitely could NOT handle that kind of pressure. I loved my small wedding and vow renewal.

I must be the only person who did not stay up to watch it, nor watched the loops on tv or any other media. Not that I don't want to as I think it's all fascinating (and wow, she made a lovely bride), but now I can't help feel that I missed out on a part of history for not catching the live feed!

I had originally intended to just record the whole thing and watch it the following day. But then my kids convinced me that it would be fun to watch it live. So we got up at 2am, watched until about 4:15 and then went back to bed for a couple of hours so that they'd be able to get up for school.

I loved everything about the wedding. The only thing I found fault with was Princess Beatrice's hat!! :)

Athena - That part of history and curiosity about everyone's fascination over it are the only two reasons I ended up watching it! I'm so glad I did, though, if nothing else but for the sheer color and views of the Westminster Abby cathedral from 72 (!) different cameras. Maybe it's still playing on YouTube?

Sonya - Oh, how fun that you watched it with your girls! Now that I've seen it I kinda wish I had watched it as part of a party. But I did end up watching the whole thing with a girlfriend who just had her wisdom teeth removed, which is important, too :) .
