Shabby Chic

Muse: What is Shabby Chic?? Just what it says, Shabby and Chic... I would say I love the shabby chic look but I really don't. I like SOME of it. I don't like all the frilly additives though. I like the distressed part, the general style. I'm wondering what exactly the look I like is called. I like distressed, antique, cottage, and above all peaceful. It's probably a combination of different things I guess.

There are certain looks I like, maybe even love, but would never want them in my home. I have to have a very peaceful setting around me and it has to be something I am comfortable to be around everyday.
