10,000 Hearts
Justinbustin has had a very stinkin' attitude this last week and it hit it's peak last night. I was so fed up I put him to bed without our usual prayers and hugs. This morning he wakes up and we talked about me or Daddy doing something with him and he says he'd rather have Daddy do it because I hate him. I let him know that I don't hate him, his attitude made me not like him very much but I always love him. Later I wrapped him in my arms and told him how I love him with my whole heart. He says, "You have 10,000 hearts." then he says, "You love God with 999 of them and you love your family and everyone else with one." I told him I don't think God minds that I love my family with those 999 hearts too.

My mom used to always say the thing about loving me, not not liking me very much at the moment when I was a brat. I think it's a really good way to express your frustration while still letting your kids know how important they are to you. :)
Awww ... how cute! The first part was sad, but I'm glad that you got everything straightened out.
I totally joke with K when he makes fun of me in play. I loosely quote How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days by saying, "Just because I love you doesn't mean I have to like you very much right now." lol :)
Oh my gosh. That is the most amazing comment for a little boy to make!!! My mom used to say the same thing... it really made me think about what I was doing to make her say that! I would feel guilty and truly try to change my actions.
Wow! That is such a sweet, and kinda sad, thing to say. But, I must say that you must have an incredible heart for God for your little boy to notice that God has THAT much of your heart! :-)
